Reverend Sirrnest T. Webster, the son of the late Herman Webster and Sallie Powell, was born on April 14, 1974. Pastor Webster married his high school sweetheart Lakesha Velazquez and have been blessed with two beautiful daughters; Sirrkia and Sirrkasia.
Reverend Webster was converted at the age of eleven and united with Emmanuel Baptist Church, Bradenton under the leadership of the Late Reverend David Jones. Pastor Webster answered the call to preach and teach God’s Word at and early age. He served as a licensed Minister under the Late Reverend Warren Akins, Naples Florida and later under Reverend Fletcher Lawson, Parrish Fl.
In May 2006, he was called to Pastor the Bible Baptist Church of Palmetto, where he has served faithfully and loyally for 11 years. Through the God-given vision and his obedience to God, the BBC family has been tremendously blessed and continues to experience growth in all areas: spiritually, financially, and overall physical membership. As we are taught that we are to work ON PURPOSE, FOR PURPOSE and WITH PURPOSE...this teaching leads to increased participation in Christian Education opportunities, such as Sunday School, Bible Study and Small Groups as we adhere to the Great Commission. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and , lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
To God Be The Glory for the vision He has given to Pastor Webster and for all the accomplishments thus far....THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
Bible Baptist Church of Palmetto Florida was established in 1984 out of a need for a true bible-based progressive and community focused assembly. In May 2006, Pastor Webster was called to Pastor the Bible Baptist Church of Palmetto, where he has served faithfully and loyally for 9 years. Through the vision and his obedience to God, the BBC family has been tremendously blessed. Some of the many accomplishments include: Continued congregational growth, both spiritually and financially, increased participation in Christian Education opportunities, such as Sunday School and Bible Study, additions, expansions and mergers to the Music and Usher Ministries. The Royal Priesthood Ministry (Youth Ministry) continues to encourage and support our youth to be what God would have them to be. Both the Brotherhood and Sisterhood Ministries have seen growth during and under his leadership. As we are reminded that we are to work On purpose, For Purpose and With Purpose, the Audiovisual Ministry was formed to enhance the Worship Experience and expand beyond just the Sunday gathering and also to provide ministry inclusion for those homebound and convalescing members.
In the structure of the earthly church, Christians invested their time, talents and tithes. Consequently, they increased significantly in number and power. Likewise, the Church of Christ today needs members who are willing to joyfully and sacrificially give of themselves.
Our objective in part is to teach, equip and help every member become all that the Lord would have them be. Therefore, it is important for believers to understand the commitment that must be made towards this end. In other words, it’s really not enough to just be saved. The Apostle Paul wrote in II Corinthians 5:17 that “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things become new. “
The Bible Baptist Church of Palmetto, Florida’s mission is to win souls to Christ through witnessing, teaching, serving, nurturing and stewardship. Focusing on the values of family and community, we are to encourage and lead while advancing God’s Kingdom.
The purpose of our church is summarized in a single sentence based on two key scriptures:
Matthew 22: 36-40- The Great Commandment: “Jesus said…Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
Matthew 28:19-20- The Great Commission: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
We believe we must commit our lives to keeping the Great Commandment and fulfilling the Great Commission, thereby
Growing the Church for Global Change for the Glory of God!
Worship Ministry: We envision church where dynamic, spirit-filled worship is the norm. Our goal is to provide and environment where worshippers will experience a warm friendly atmosphere, inspiring-meaningful music and teaching that is engaging and true to scriptures.
Discipleship Ministries: We envision a church that equips new and growing Christians for service and discipleship. We envision an environment where individuals can explore the Christian faith, experience a transforming relationship with Christ and become the people God created us to be
Community Ministries: We envision a church that is totally committed to community ministry. Our goal is to create an environment in which the church family enthusiastically embraces the example of Christ, who fed the hungry, healed the hurting, gave to the poor, and interacted with those outside of the religious establishment.
Facilities Ministries: We envision a church that boldly embraces an aggressive building program philosophy designed to constantly expand and renovate facilities on and “as needed” basis.
